Introduction of High Active Bubble-free Catalyst CUCAT-HA02

    Main Advantages of the product:

Two component spray polyurethane/urea chain extender components contains polyol (usually PPG) which has the similar reaction rate with MDI as that of H2O. If catalysts such as organic bismuth tin, which have a strong catalytic effect on water (sensitive to moisture), are selected, even if the raw materials are completely dehydrated, it cannot avoid adverse phenomena such as foaming, bulging, peeling, and cracking caused by the reaction of trace moisture with isocyanates to produce CO2 when constructs on high-temperature summer and humid substrates.

CUCAT-HA02 has unique targeted catalytic properties and extremely high catalytic activity that do not catalyze the reaction of trace moisture with isocyanates. It is used for spraying polyurethane/urea coatings and has the following prominent characteristics:

    • The gel is dense and has higher strength without bubbles. Generally, the strength is increased by 10 to 30% compared to using tin bismuth catalysts.

    • Improve the undesirable phenomenon of hollowing and peeling, and improve the adhesion fastness between the coating and the base surface. It greatly reduce the influence of wet substrate and water vapor on the coating under high temperature and high humidity conditions, and avoid the problem of hollowing and peeling caused by gas accumulation at the bonding interface caused by the use of organic bismuth catalyst.

    • The formula is flexible in material selection to further reduce the cost. Minimize the use of expensive amine terminated polyether and aromatic amine (DETDA / E100). Allow more PPG to be used in the formula, even allow the use of low activity diamines such as MOCA to replace DETDA as component P, and there will be no adverse phenomena such as foaming and bulging. While the use of ordinary bismuth catalyst to reduce the amount of DETDA or MOCA is very easy to foaming and bulging.

    • High catalytic activity, low usage, fast increase in viscosity and initial strength.
